The final phase of our Windows Repair project got underway on April 13. This is the replacement of the plexiglass covers. These had become discolored over the years to the extent that they had marred the outside appearance of the church. When the new covers started going up, we were amazed at the difference. The colors now blend in perfectly with masonite exterior surface and the stained glass windows are visible through the covers. The project should be completed the week of April 18.
We have a beautiful sanctuary and now we have the outside of our church property that has been improved over the last several years. We have added a metal roof, landscaping and awnings. we have painted and repaired doors. We have made numerous improvements to the fellowship hall. And now we come to a point with the window covers, perhaps the icing on the cake.
There are many people to thank for this successful work: David Hutto, who noticed the bucking of the windows, Glenn Houser, who worked with the contractor, the Trustees who approved the project. A special thanks goes to Charlestowne Stained Glass for their competency and efficiency. And lastly, all of those members and friends who contributed generously to the fund over the last months.
We thank God for blessing us with people who are willing and anxious to come together to praise Him through caring for His House of Worship. We are a small church in a small community but one with a big heart. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
