Vance is survived by his wife, Terry and sons Marvin and Andy, and many other family members. Vance and Terry were mainstays of the church for many years. Terry currently serves as Chair of the Administrative Council. Services will be held at New Hope on Saturday, December 3, at 3 p.m.

Vance lived a long and productive life in service to his community and fellow citizens. He loved his family, home, church, garden and the people he served. The Boone family has been in these parts for many years and were among the founders of the Rowesville community. His career in law enforcement took him all over this country but his roots were in Rowesville. He was a legendary storyteller with an amazing memory for details. He will be missed but always remembered. We are thinking of Terry and the family at this time and take comfort knowing that God holds them in His loving embrace.
