On October 30, New Hope continued its tradition of Fifth Sunday Praise and Singing with a wonderful, moving service conducted by Ed Hinshaw, of First Baptist in Orangeburg. The service carried a theme of worshiping God through lifting our voices in praise to the glory of God, in Supplication, Salvation and finally in Commitment.
Ed rendered a beautiful solo of The Holy City. Lynda Gardner joined him in singing How Great Thou Art and she sang The Lord's Prayer for us. As if their beautiful voices weren't enough, they were accompanied by the gifited pianist, Misty Salley. And let's not forget the congregation who joined in singing some of these inspirational favorites.
We enjoyed a great fellowship dinner on a beautiful fall day. Thanks go out to The Kuckery who catered for us. Thanks also to Glenn Houser for arranging the program and to all the folks at the church who helped with the preparation. And mostly, thanks to our visitors who joined us for yet another very special service at New Hope and a chance to see old friends. We've got to keep meeting like this!
