New Hope UMC

On July 30, 2016, we were pleased to have the very wonderful choir from Buncombe Street UMC to present a musical program at New Hope. We were certainly carried away by the awesome talent of this group and their leader, Rosemary Hughes. That was a special day for us at New Hope. We enjoyed the fellowship and experienced the beginning of a great friendship between the two churches.

We knew the folks from Buncombe had considerable musical talents but apparently their gifts don't end there. This week we received a water color of the church, painted by choir member, Bill Hines. We are placing it in the fellowship hall after framing. Every time we look at it, we will remember the folks at Buncombe and what their presence has meant to us.

We also received this letter from Rosemary that explains more about the painting. We have an invitation to visit Buncombe and hopefully we can do that someday in the very near future. The Christian spirit is a joy to experience in the fullness of fellowship.
