Kevin Liles
As your pastor, I have a passion for studying the Bible, learning more and more each day to grow in my walk with Christ, and sharing with you in this journey. I have been a member of the United Methodist Church since the age of seven. I credit my grandparents and parents for instilling in me a strong Christian foundation as a child that has helped me in my walk today. I grew up and went to schools in New Ellenton where the Savannah River Nuclear Site is located and now live in Aiken.
Like most of us in the church, I have held various positions from Sunday school teacher to Administrative Council Chairperson. I have been active in Lay Servant Ministries for over 20 years and have been blessed with the privilege of visiting many churches, bringing messages, and making friends across the Orangeburg District. I am the current Director of Lay Servant Ministries for the Orangeburg District. I also enjoy assisting churches in the Forward Focus process of revitalization and growth.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (1998) and a Masters of Public Administration degree (2007). I enjoy working on projects around the house such as yardwork and in my spare time I enjoy reading, running, and cycling.
More than any of these things, I want to say that I am blessed to be with you and look forward to sharing in our walk toward greater maturity in Christ. I believe that we should share in this journey with others and make disciples of those who have not been reached. I want you to feel free to contact me anytime that I can be of assistance.
